In this fun and creative class, you’ll design a beautiful spring wreath featuring colorful Easter eggs, and festive details perfect for welcoming the season.

All materials are provided, and no crafting experience is needed—just bring your creativity! You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind wreath that’s perfect for your front door, home décor, or Easter celebrations.

Friday, June 13th at noon, beat the heat and join us for a free family movie showing of Moana 2 in the library’s community room! Kids are encouraged to bring their own blanket and pillow for the best experience. Lunch will be provided for anyone 18 and under at no charge, as part of Hart County Schools' Summer Feeding Program.

Dive into the magical world of books on your own schedule. The program is designed for ages 4-13 who love to read and explore new stories. Whether you enjoy chapter books or picture books, here’s how you can participate:
Independent Readers / Chapter books: Aim for at least 2 hours of reading each week for five weeks (10 hours total). Record your titles on your reading log.
Younger Readers / Picture books: Try to read or listen to at least 25 books. Note each in your reading log.
Complete your log and return it at our last live event for a special reward and to be eligible for our grand prize drawing!

These live events are open to all and will be held in the library’s community room on Friday's at 10 am central time. Parents are encouraged to step out of the room with any restless little ones.
Photos will be taken during the live events to share on our social media. If you prefer not to have your child’s photo taken, please speak to a library staff member.

This contest was hosted by Hart County Public Library outreach, and was open to all 2nd through 6th grade students in Hart County, including homeschoolers. This year's theme was "A Tree is Nice." We had many wonderful entries, making a tough task for our judges. Out of an impressive 735 submissions, the winners are:

Sponsored by the Hart County Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC), this event will feature informational booths on early childhood literacy, pediatric CPR, and car seat safety.
